Meal Planner – Dinner decisions, handled

What It Does Helps you plan your meals for the week without the constant “What should we eat this week?” debate. Mix and match recipes, factor in leftovers, and actually use those groceries before they expire. Why This Matters Less scrambling, more savoring. With a little planning magic, you’ll spend less time guessing and more time enjoying meals that make sense for your week (and your fridge).

Dark Mode - just cause (also, cooking midnight snacks shouldn’t blind you)

What It Does Turns down the brightness with a sleek dark mode, making late-night cooking way easier on the eyes. Why This Matters Whether you're saving your retinas, conserving battery, or just love a moody aesthetic, dark mode keeps things easy to read and easy to cook.

Adjust Serving Size – doubling a recipe isn’t as simple as multiplying by 2

What It Does Tweak serving sizes after your recipe is generated. Easily scale your recipe up or down while keeping ingredient proportions balanced - so you don’t end up with way too much salt or not enough sauce. Why This Matters Not all ingredients scale equally (a double batch doesn’t mean twice the baking soda). We want to make sure you can adjust servings without ruining the recipe.

Text-to-Speech – keep your hands focused on cooking!

What It Does Reads each step out loud so you can keep your hands where they belong - stirring, chopping, or dramatically tossing ingredients. No more smudging your screen with flour-covered fingers. Why This Matters Cooking shouldn’t feel like a scrolling marathon. Image your recipe talking to you, in real time - so you can focus on cooking, without pausing to scroll.

Ingredient Substitutions

Because someone or Reddit said so.

Video Guides – some steps just need to be seen

What It Does Provides short, step-by-step video clips to guide you through tricky techniques - whether it’s folding dough a certain way, searing steak, or finally figuring out how to dice an onion like a pro. Why This Matters Some things are easier to watch than read. Now, instead of guessing what “fold gently” means, you’ll see exactly how it’s done.

Co-Op Mode - because cooking is better with company

What It Does Lets you and your cooking partner sync up in real time, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and keeping everything on schedule - whether you're in the same kitchen or miles apart. Why This Matters Cooking together should be fun, not chaotic. Now, you can divide and conquer, stay in sync, and bring a little teamwork to the table. No more “Wait, did you already chop the onions?” moments - just smooth, coordinated cooking.

Recipe Photos & Better Image Matching – we don't want food to look AI-weird

What It Does We know our current image generation needs improvement! (Sometimes it makes for funny surprises.) This update lets you upload your own recipe photos and improves image matching for newly created recipes, ensuring more accurate and appetizing visuals. Why This Matters We wanted to avoid AI-generated food images since they often feel a little off—too perfect, too fake, too uncanny. Your recipe visuals should look as good as your dish tastes, making it easier (and more tempting) to cook and share.

Bulk Recipe Importer – bring your recipes with you

What It Does Lets you import a bunch of recipes at once. Upload a file from your current recipe app or notes, and we’ll turn them into clean, step-by-step Forkestrate roadmaps. Why This Matters Because re-adding recipes one by one is no one’s idea of fun. This makes it easy to bring your existing recipes into Forkestrate so you can spend less time organizing and more time cooking.

iOS/Android Mobile Apps - time to skip the browser

What It Does Instead of just being a web app, bring the full experience straight to your phone without needing a web browser. Why This Matters No more juggling browser tabs or dragging laptops into the kitchen. With a mobile app, you can tap, swipe, and cook - all in one place, designed just for your device.

Multiple Recipe Suggestions – one option might not be enough

What It Does Instead of locking you into a single recipe when creating from scratch, this update presents multiple options based on your input. Whether you're looking for a classic take, a quick shortcut, or a creative twist, you’ll get a few choices to choose from instead! Why This Matters Cooking isn’t one-size-fits-all. Maybe you want a 30-minute version, a budget-friendly take, or something a little more adventurous.

Mobile (Portrait) Layout for Recipe Roadmap - for those who love cooking on tiny screens

What It Does A dedicated portrait-mode layout for mobile. Every recipe is now easy to read and follow WITHOUT having to turn your phone sideways into landscape mode. Why This Matters For those who enjoy following recipes on teeny tiny screens (or don’t wish to haul a tablet/laptop into the kitchen), now you can chop, stir, and swipe all in one place.

Edit Recipe - because even grandma's recipes might need a tweak

What It Does Lets you customize every detail of a recipe to match your style - steps, timers, ingredients, and instructions. This will be reflected in your recipe roadmap, your way. Why This Matters Recipes aren’t one-size-fits-all. Now you can tweak, refine, and share your personalized version with family and friends. Fix mistakes, adjust flavors, or give your dish a name that’s way cooler.

Recipe Importer – no more bookmarking chaos

What It Does Imports recipes from websites, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more - just paste the link, and we’ll transform it into a step-by-step roadmap. Why This Matters No more scattered bookmarks, saved posts, or scrolling through videos to find ingredients. Now, every recipe you love lives in one place, ready to cook when you are.
